Here he is throwing a ball during the pre-game practice.
Ok, now we're actually in the game. I guess he's a little bored (and yet, he loves golf!! go figure). Either that or he's goofing for the camera.
Here he's hitting his first time at bat. If you look closely, you can see the ball right in front of the bat, heading out to the field. He actually hits pretty well, even better than some of the bigger kids. Good thing, cuz his little legs don't run very fast. Well, they do when he wants to get someplace...just not onto the base.
We have coaches at each base to remind the kids where to go and when to run. That's a good thing, too, because each time Levi was on 2nd base, on his way to 3rd, he'd have his head down, running, and go out into the outfield behind 3rd, until he'd hear the coach holler to him and then he'd look up and curve back over to 3rd. It was really funny. Here he's heading home.
And, for Levi, the best part of the game...snacks afterwards!! They also get little metal stars to put on their hats after each game and he loves that, too.

Now on to Indy's game. His game was later that afternoon. Between the two games we had a birthday party and after Indy's game we had a going away party for some friends moving away. That was a busy day!! Anyway, Indy got to play catcher. This is awesome because ever since he saw his first Marlins game, he has said he wants to be the catcher. He told me he wanted to be the guy who catches the ball (could be just about any player!!) by the batter that the other guy throws to. I asked if he meant the catcher and he said yes, the guy who sits like this (and showed me). He was 3 when he decided he wanted to be the catcher and he hasn't wavered at all. In tee ball, they don't have a catcher, so he had to play other positions, which is good for him to do, but now that he's in regular baseball, he can be the catcher. Of course, they switch everyone around so they can all experience the different positions, but he was thrilled that he was picked to be the catcher. After the game, he told me, "Mom, my dream came true." I asked, "What dream? What did you dream?" He said, "No, not that kind of dream. My wish came true. I got to be the catcher." He was sooo happy. And, I was happy for him. You should have seen him trying to move in all that gear!! lol
These are just some pictures of him batting.

And, this was the final score. Yes, that's 12-22 and we were the 22!! In baseball, they actually keep score and outs and everything. This is new to us because in tee ball, they have waaay different rules, so all the kids get to play and have a good time playing ball. So, we were very excited to have won this game! Now, even if we don't' win any more, which I hope won't be the case, at least we won our first game! Whew!

They are so-o-o-o cute. I love Levi's uniform and Indy's catcher's garb. Sure wish I could go to the games. Mom
