Friends

We are friends with a family who moved to Qatar last spring for the dad's job, and we have missed them lots. Luckily, my friend, Lori, has a great blog that keeps me updated on all their activities. You'll have to check it out sometime. Her daughter, Emily, also has a blog, but mostly keeps up with Ashton through My Space. Anyway, last week they came to the US for a visit. Whoo Hoo!! They came to South Florida for a week, then headed out to Arizona to visit Lori's family for a month! We actually got to spend more time with them than some of their other friends due to hectic schedules, which was sooo wonderful. The son, Daniel, is 11, but Indy just loves him. And Daniel was so gracious to come over and spend some time playing with my boys. (Thanks, Daniel!)

Anyhoo, Emily was one of the guests at Ashton's party and afterwards, she was the only one to spend the night. The girls had a blast! Then the next day they spent the day with Lori. On Thursday, both kids came over for a couple hours and the girls dressed up crazily for our trip to Joann Fabrics. They were funny and had fun getting lots of attention.

On Friday, Lori and Emily came over and went trick or treating with us. Sadly, this was our last time to see them, as they were leaving the following Monday for Arizona. It was wonderful to see them all, but it will be a looong time til the next visit. [sniff, sniff]

The gift of Christian friends is such a blessing. It's wonderful knowing that there are no good byes, only farewells. Lori, have a fantastic visit with family and friends, then go home to your precious husband renewed and invigorated. I know he's missing you all. As we here in the states will.
