In the meantime, Ashton was riding around on Nicky's friend's ATV. She had a blast and just loved riding through the mud. She took both boys and Savannah for a ride. That was fun for all of them!
Nicky's friend, Steve, brought his grandson along for the weekend. The girls have actually grown up with this young man (he's Savannah's age), but since they moved to the west coast about 4 or 5 years ago, we don't get to see him much. Once they saw each other this weekend, it was just like old times and they all had fun together. Of course, the boys just thought it was great to have someone to climb on. Since this boy has two younger siblings around the boys' ages, he was quite used to it and even played with them a bit. He helped Indy with his fishing, too.
This picture was actually taken the next day, on Sunday, while we were attempting to pack to head home. Nicky laid down on the air mattress to get all the air out, then he got some company. It was so funny. At least there was a lot of weight to get all the air out of he mattress!
And, this was the sunset we had from the back of our camp. I just love the sunsets in the Everglades. They're always amazing. This was taken on Saturday night. After this, we had a wonderful fire! What a way to end the day!!
The next and final entry will be about our ride on the buggy into the swamp. That will be interesting. I might have to split that entry into two, in which case, there will be two more entries, but we'll see. Have a great week!
