See the tent in the background? Nicky and me and the boys slept in our trailer that stays at the camp permanently, but it's a very small trailer and we don't all fit in it anymore. So, the girls slept in the tent and slept on an air mattress. They liked having their own space. When Savannah woke up, what do you think is the first thing she did? Well, she's a 14 year old girl, so you only get one guess....yes, put on her make up. :-) But, I must say, that we'd had a hair appt. for her for about a month, so her and Levi and I left about 8am to head back into the city for the 10 am hair appt. Hence, the make up. Take a good look at her hair, cause it's about to change!!

She wanted to get her hair dyed, but of course I said no. Especially since she wanted it black....no way!! Duh! :-) So, we agreed on her getting the tips dyed black. It's permanent dye, but when she gets sick of it, she can just cut it off. We were both worried that the black would be like a faded black, but it's really black and actually looks pretty. If you can say a pretty "shade" of black, that's it. She was wearing a black shirt, so I had to use this picture so you can see it against the cape. It kinda looks like whispy feathers. She wants to do purple next time!!

So, while we were getting hair dyed, Ashton and Indy went fishing in the little lake (more like a pond) near the camp. There's always a baby alligator or two in there, but they usually keep their distance. Of course, Levi's favorite thing to do is to throw rocks in there and make a big splash! The kids always catch lots of little fish from that pond and usually throw them back. They just like the fishing part.

Indy learned to cast...sort of, and take the fish off the hooks. He had so much fun that that was all he wanted to do the whole weekend. Even when we were on the buggy, he wanted to go back in so he could fish. I guess we've got a budding fisherman on hand, eh?

What can I even say about this one?? Levi had a busy day and got very dirty, of course. He was so covered with dirt by the end of the day, it was comical. Just check out the face and hands. I think a lot of it was soot from throwing wood into the dead fire making soot float up onto him, but he didn't seem to mind. "Who cares? It's fun!!"
There was a lot of other stuff we did on Saturday, but that's it for this entry. Stay tuned for Part 3, where more mud comes into play. What a teaser, huh??? See ya next time!
