We're in NC right now. Surprised? Anyway, we drove up here for the long weekend for my aunt's surprise 50th birthday party. Boy, was she surprised! Not only from the party, but from us being here. Seeing the look of surprised joy on her face was well worth the 14 hour drive with 4 kids through the dead of night, visiting for 3 days and driving another 14 hours with 4 kids through the dead of night. (I'm tired just thinking about it!!) The party was last night and we had a lot of fun. Even the little kids were out on the dance floor regaling us with their dancing abitlities (ie. doing the worm and other misc. known and unknown moves). Everyone had a blast. Today my sister in law sang a solo at church so we all got up and went to hear her sing. She did a marvelous job, and it was such a beautiful song, too. Who knew she was so talented?? :-) Then we all met for lunch at a restaurant. That was quite the adventure with 14 people, 6 of whom were under 15. Most people around here have one or two kids, thus thinking I'm insane for having 4. This always makes for an adventure out in public, especially when we add another two year old and an 8 year old, both boys. Yikes! Anyway, we had a nice lunch and now everyone is napping except me and Indy, who's supposed to be napping, but is talking to himself. Maybe he's talking himself to sleep! In a little while, we're heading to some little known path through the woods that leads to a waterfall. Cool, huh? I'll take some pictures and show you later. Then, it's back to home tonight about midnight. So, pray for us if you're still awake at midnight or anytime after, for the next 14 hours. Gotta get home before the weekend rush to get home hits. Right? Well, I guess that's it for now. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Remember our fallen soldiers and their families this weekend, be thankful for your freedom, and pray for those still far away from home.
Blessings,
Mylinda :-)
